The Bridge Houses in Bad Kreuznach Germany

16"x20"

This pen and ink (~12×16) was done in the 1981 from a photo I took while stationed in Bad Kreuznach, Germany. These “Bridge Houses” are almost 700 years old! A first mention of the bridge structure was in 1332 at the consecration of the church on the Wörth island, today’s Pauluskirche . The stone bridge originally had eight arched openings, two of which cross the mill pond, three are arranged as a flood bridge on the Wörth island and three spanned the left Nahehauptarm. The bridge houses were first mentioned in documents in 1495. An original oil painting of a similar view was sold through “Ranch Revived” in Groveland, CA. This original pen and ink is available unframed for $85. Add a 1″ smooth black frame or a weathered barnwood frame for $45. Photo of the print, in a frame if desired, will be provided prior to purchase. Shipping in the USA is included. Satisfaction guaranteed. Returns paid by buyer.

This painting is not currently for sale.
